Kerala HC: Akshaya Centres Not Business Hubs, Can't Impose Service Charges For Essential Services - (11 Sep 2025)

CIVIL

Kerala HC held that Akshaya Centres are meant to link the public with government services, not to operate as profit-driven business centres. They cannot impose arbitrary service charges on citizens for accessing essential services, as their role is facilitative, not commercial.
