Physical Relaxation Doesn’t Bar Reserved Candidates from General Seats, if Rules Allow: SC - (10 Sep 2025)

SERVICE

SC ruled that a reserved category candidate who avails physical relaxation can still be appointed to a general category post if selected on merit, unless expressly barred by recruitment rules. It dismissed a plea by a general category candidate who missed CISF selection by one mark.
