Bombay HC Rejects Plea For 'Eco-Friendly' Ganesh Idol Immersion, Upholds Citizens' Right to Clean Wat - (05 Sep 2025)

Bombay HC denied Mumbai’s Malabar hill residents permission to immerse eco-friendly Ganesh idols in BangangaTalao, citing new MRCB guidelines banning idol immersion in natural water bodies. The court refused relief to petitioner Sanjay Shirke, upholding environmental protections.
