SC Takes Suo Motu Case of Missing CCTV Cameras in Police Stations - (04 Sep 2025)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court took suo motu case of the absence of functional CCTV cameras in police stations. A bench led by Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta acted on a report by Dainik Bhaskar, which revealed that 11 people had died in police custody over the past seven to eight months this year.
