SC Criticizes NGT for Outsourcing its Responsibilities to External Committees - (02 Sep 2025)

ENVIRONMENT

Supreme Court while criticizing National Green Tribunal (NGT) for functioning like a rubber stamp by outsourcing its responsibilities to external committees, has observed that the adjudicatory functions of NGT cannot be assigned to committees, even expert committees.
