SC Reprimands Bihar IPS Officer for Affidavit Supporting Murder Convict - (20 Aug 2025)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court rebuked Bihar IPS officer Ashok Mishra for filing an affidavit supporting a murder convict, contradicting the prosecution. Reminding him to be loyal to the Constitution, not superiors, the Court accepted his unconditional apology and closed the matter with a caution.
