SC: Electricity’s Transmission, Generation is Regulated Statutorily - (07 Aug 2025)

ELECTRICITY

SC while issuing ten points relating to regulatory assets, determination of tariff and accountability of ERCs has stated that electricity is a public good. Its generation, transmission, and distribution are statutorily regulated to ensure access to supply, on a non-rival and non-exclusive basis.
