SC: Article 21 does Not Extend to Luxurious Food Choices in Prisons - (16 Jul 2025)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has observed that the right to life under Article 21 of the Constitution of India undoubtedly extends to all prisoners, including those with disabilities. However, this does not confer a right to demand personalised or luxurious food choices.
