SC Issues Guidelines for Proper Collection, Preservation and Processing of DNA - (16 Jul 2025)

Supreme Court while acquitting a man sentenced to death, after noting procedural lapses in the handling of DNA evidence, has issued guidelines for ensuring proper collection, preservation, and processing of DNA and other biological materials.
