Calcutta HC: In Absence of Express Provision, Aadhaar Act Cannot be Applied Retrospectively - (16 Jun 2025)

CONSTITUTION

Calcutta High Court has observed that in absence of any provision allowing retrospective application of the Aadhaar Act, 2016 applying it to the acts committed before the Act came into force would violate Article 20(1) of the Constitution of India.
