Raj. HC: Can’t Extend ‘Child Specific’ Safeguards to Victim to Attaining Majority During Trial - (30 May 2025)

CRIMINAL

Rajasthan HC has held that procedural safeguards given under Section 3392) and 37 of POCSO Act, 2012 cannot be extended to victim who attained majority during trial as such an approach would subvert both the legislative intent and the constitutional requirement of parity in procedural fairness.
