Madras HC: No Ex Parte Hearing, Disposal in Criminal Law - (07 Jul 2016)

Madras HC has said that ex parte hearing, disposal, conviction or sentences are concepts unknown to criminal law and hence neither trial nor appeal against conviction or acquittal could be conducted in absence of counsel for accused.
