SC: Section 10 of TPA Not Applicable to Government Allotments - (15 May 2025)

PROPERTY

Supreme Court has stated that Section 10 of the Transfer of Property Act, 1882 invalidating absolute restraints on alienation is not applicable on government allotments as such transactions are not commercial in nature but are in the public interest.
