SC: For Granting Environmental Clearance, Valid DSR a Mandatory Prerequisite - (09 May 2025)

ENVIRONMENT

Supreme Court while striking down UP Government’s e-auction notice that cited reliance on an expired District Survey Report, has held that for granting Environmental Clearance (EC) for Category B2 minor mineral projects it is mandatory to have a valid and up-to-date District Survey Report (DSR).
