Cal. HC Strikes Down State Law Allowing Companies to Penalise Consumer Consuming More Electricity - (06 May 2025)

ELECTRICITY

Calcutta HC has struck down rule under Regulation 4.4 of the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) Regulations, 2011 that allowed electricity companies to penalize consumers consuming more electricity than the limit prescribed by the companies.
