HP HC: Insurance Company Not Liable to Provide Compe. for Injuries Sustained by Gratuitous Passenger - (05 May 2025)

MOTOR VEHICLES

HP HC while holding that an insurance company is not liable to provide compensation for injuries sustained by a gratuitous passenger has held that the term “any person” used in Section 147 of MV Act, 1988 relates only to a third party and a passenger in goods carriage vehicle is not a third party.
