SC: Fresh Suit Not Valid Remedy to Set Aside Decree Obtained on Basis of Coerced Compromise - (22 Apr 2025)

SC has observed that if a party is coerced to enter into a compromise, which leads to the passing of the consent decree, a fresh suit for setting aside the decree is not a valid remedy. In that situation, the party should file a recall application before the Court that had passed the decree.
