Allahabad HC: Not Providing ‘Grounds of Arrest’ is Violative of Article 22(1) of COI - (15 Apr 2025)

CRIMINAL

Allahabad High Court while quashing the arrest of a man in a forgery and cheating case, has noted that not providing grounds of arrest to an accused violates his constitutional safeguards under Article 22(1) of the Constitution of India.
