SC: Tamil Nadu Governor’s Act of Withholding Assent for 10 Bills is Illegal and Erroneous - (08 Apr 2025)

CONSTITUTION

Supreme Court has held that the Tamil Nadu Governor’s action of withholding assent for 10 bills is "illegal" and "arbitrary". The Court further ruled that the Governor cannot reserve Bills for the President after withholding assent.
