Bombay HC: Condition that Younger Candidate Would be Preferred Over Older Candidate Violates COI - (03 Apr 2025)

Bom. HC while hearing a petition challenging Indian Oil Corporation Limited's (IOCL) policy for the selection of service providers, has held that a tender prescribing condition that in case of tie breaker a younger candidate would be preferred over an older candidate is arbitrary under A. 14 of COI.
