SC: Court May Award Interest Higher than 6% in Commercial Transactions - (02 Apr 2025)

CIVIL

Supreme Court has observed that in a commercial transaction, in absence of an agreement between the parties regarding the rate of interest on delayed payment the Court may award interest higher than 6% after taking into account the facts and circumstances in accordance with law.
