Supreme Court Explains Distinction between Gift/Settlement Deed & Will - (26 Mar 2025)

PROPERTY

SC has observed that in case of gift, it is a gratuitous grant by owner to another person, in case of a settlement, the consideration is mutual love, care, affection and satisfaction and in will, it is declaration of the intention of testator in disposition of his property in a particular manner.
