SC: Court Intending to Add Person as Accused Can’t Direct Police to Add Name in Chargesheet - (21 Mar 2025)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has observed that if a Court wants to add a person as an accused then it may issue summons to the proposed accused as the Court does not have the authority to direct the police to add the name of the person in the chargesheet.
