J&K HC: Cannot Disengage SPOs without Following Due Process - (17 Mar 2025)

J&K HC has observed that Special Police Officers (SPOs) cannot be disengaged from service without being provided a reasonable opportunity to show cause and meet the charges levelled against them as they enjoy the same protections as regular police officers.
