Calcutta HC: Can Grant Unconditional Stay of Award if it is Induced by Fraud - (10 Mar 2025)

ARBITRATION

Calcutta High Court has observed that an unconditional stay of award can be granted if it is affected or induced by fraud or corruption. However an honest mistake or erroneous application of law by the arbitrator would not amount to corruption.
