Delhi HC: Impermissible to Award Less Than Minimum Prescribed Sentence Under Wildlife Protection Act - (06 Mar 2025)

ENVIRONMENT

Delhi High Court has stated that it is impermissible to award less than minimum prescribed sentence under Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 as granting a lesser sentence would frustrate the very object of the Act and set a dangerous precedent for future cases.
