SC Warns States/UTs for Not Forming Expert Committees for Identification of Forest Areas - (05 Mar 2025)

ENVIRONMENT

SC has directed all states/UTs in which expert committees for identification of forest areas have not been constituted, to constitute such committees within 1 month. The Court further warned Chief Secretaries and Administrators of States/UTs to personally hold them liable in case of non-compliance.
