NCLAT: Cannot Disconnect Electricity Supply During Moratorium Period as Per Section 14(2) of IBC - (27 Feb 2025)

INSOLVENCY

NCLAT New Delhi bench has held that during moratorium period under section 14 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (Code), electricity being an essential supply cannot be disconnected even if no payment is made for such supply.
