SC: In Domestic Violence Act Proceedings, Physical Presence of Parties Not Necessary - (24 Feb 2025)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has observed that as the proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 are quasi-criminal in nature, thus, there cannot be any justification to require the personal presence of parties in these proceedings.
