SC: Can’t Reduce Benefit of Input Tax Credit without Statutory Sanction - (19 Feb 2025)

Supreme Court has held that the benefit of input tax credit is traceable to the statute. If the same has to be reduced, which will have an adverse civil consequence upon the beneficiary, it must have the requisite statutory sanction.
