SC: Evidentiary Value of TIP is Lost When Witness Who Identified Accused Isn’t Examined in Trial - (18 Feb 2025)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has observed that if the witness who identified a person or an article in the Test Identification Parade(TIP) is not examined during trial, the TIP report which may be useful to corroborate or contradict him would lose its evidentiary value for the purposes of identification.
