Supreme Court: Cannot Misuse Concept of PMLA to Keep Accused in Jail - (13 Feb 2025)

Supreme Court while granting bail to an officer accused in a liquor scam, has observed that concept of Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA) cannot be to ensure that a person should remain in jail.
