SC: Groom Refusing to Cooperate with Wedding over Gold Demand Satisfies Ingredients of S. 498A - (29 Jan 2025)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court wile upholding conviction of a husband under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, has observed that groom’s refusal to co-operate with the wedding reception function over non-fulfillment of gold demand satisfies the ingredients of Section 498-A.
