SC: High Court Must Muster Courage and Exercise its Discretion of Granting Bail Judiciously - (28 Jan 2025)

CRIMINAL

SC while castigating Allahabad HC for refusing to grant bail, has stated that trial court declined bail as trial courts seldom muster the courage of granting bail, be it any offence. However, at least, it was expected of the High Court to muster the courage and exercise its discretion judiciously.
