Supreme Court: Article 14 Does Not Envisage Negative Equality - (23 Jan 2025)

SC while dismissing an appeal by a retired peon seeking promotion, has held that litigant coming to Court can’t claim negative discrimination seeking direction from Court to the department to act in violation of law. It is a settled proposition of law that A. 14 doesn’t envisage negative equality.
