SC: Can’t Condone Delay Based on Merits of Main Matter in Absence of Sufficient Explanation - (13 Jan 2025)

LIMITATION

Supreme Court has observed that the court must not start with the merits of the main matter while considering an application for condonation of delay and first must assess the explanation offered by the party seeking condonation.
