Cal. HC: Bail Cannot be Denied on Account of Restrictive Statutory Provisions in Penal Statute - (09 Dec 2024)

CRIMINAL

The Calcutta HC while granting bail to a man being investigated under the PMLA has observed that a constitutional Court cannot be restrained from granting bail on account of restrictive statutory provisions in a penal statute if the right of accused under Art. 21 of Constitution have been infringed.
