SC: Witness Making Self-Incriminating Statements Can be Summoned as Additional Accused - (13 Sep 2024)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has held that he qualified privilege under the proviso to Section 132 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 does not grant complete immunity from prosecution to a person who has deposed as a witness and made statements incriminating himself.
