SC: NDMC Not Liable for Absorption of Staff of School Closed Without Approval - (30 Aug 2024)

EDUCATION

SC has held that if a school is closed without prior approval as per Rule 46 of Delhi Education Act and Rules, 1973, the argument that the onus to absorb the surplus teaching and non-teaching staff would be that of the New Delhi Municipal Corporation, has no legal sanction and is not sustainable.
