SC: Cheque Dishonour Cases Can Only be Compounded With Consent of Complainant - (26 Aug 2024)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has held that Court can compound cheque dishonor cases under Section 147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (N.I. Act) only when there is consent of the complainant.
