SC Explains the Requirements to be Fulfilled for Initiating Perjury Proceedings against Litigant - (14 Aug 2024)

CRIMINAL

SC has held that, to initiate perjury proceedings against a litigant court should be of prima facie opinion that there exists sufficient & reasonable ground to initiate proceedings, such proceedings should be initiated when doing so is expedient in the interests of justice to punish the delinquent.
