SC: Acquittal Upheld in Cheque Dishonour Case for Contradiction in Statements of Complainant - (09 Aug 2024)

CRIMINAL

SC has upheld acquittal of an accused in a cheque dishonor case on the ground that there was no financial capacity or acknowledgement in complainant’s Income Tax Returns to the effect of having advanced a loan. Further, he was not even able to showcase as to when the said loan was advanced.
