SC: Executive Decision Previously Taken Can be Withdrawn for Larger Public Interest - (22 Jul 2024)

CIVIL

SC has observed that if a previous executive decision is withdrawn in larger public interest, earlier promise upon which party acts cannot be enforced as a right. Authorities cannot be estopped from withdrawing their promise, as such an expectation does not give any enforceable right to the party.
