SC: Final Deadline Given to States/UTs for Appointment of Specialised Adoption Agencies - (10 Jul 2024)

Supreme Court while hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on simplifying adoption procedures in the country, has directed the Chief Secretaries of the States and UTs to appoint Specialised Adoption Agencies (SAAs) in each District by August 30, 2024.
