MP HC: Accused Cannot be Prosecuted by Married Woman for Rape on False Promise of Marriage - (01 Jul 2024)

CRIMINAL

Madhya Pradesh High Court while quashing a rape FIR, has observed that on the date of developing physical relationship, the prosecutrix was a married lady and surrendering before a man on false promise of marriage does not fall within the definition of consent obtained on misconception of fact.
