SC: Comments to be Made Within Public View to Punish Person for Casteist Insults Under SC/ ST Act - (21 May 2024)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has observed that in order to decide a complaint under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, the allegation of insult made needs to satisfy the requirement of having been made in public view.
