SC: Can Use Witness Statement Recorded In Absence of Accused, if Conditions of S. 299 CrPC Fulfilled - (09 May 2024)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has held that if the conditions given under Section 299 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 are fulfilled only then the statement of the prosecution witness recorded in the absence of the accused can be used as evidence.
