SC: Case to Proceed as Pvt. Complaint if Cognizance of Additional Materials Taken With Protest Petiti - (22 Apr 2024)

CRIMINAL

Supreme Court has held that a protest petition is to be treated as a private complaint under Section 200 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 if cognizance is taken by the Magistrate of additional evidence produced along with the protest petition.
