Calcutta High Court: Notice Preventing Forest Dwellers from Entering Forest Lands Set Aside - (18 Apr 2024)

CIVIL

Cal HC set aside the notice ousting forest dwellers from their forest dwellings and held that since no process of recognition of rights given in Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Rules, 2007 has been initiated, the notice issued lacks jurisdiction.
