Madras High Court: Can’t Freeze Bank Account Under UAPA in Absence of Central Government’s Order - (01 Apr 2024)

Madras High Court has held that authorities cannot freeze the bank account of Tamil Nadu Development Foundation Trust under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967 (UAPA) without an order of inquiry under Section 7(1) of the Act.
